Rose’s Bounty Food Pantry/Stratford Street United Church
Emmanuel Church and its members support Rose’s Bounty Food Pantry at the Stratford Street United Church, our neighbor church located one block south of our parish. We collect canned goods and deliver these to the food pantry for distribution.
The B-SAFE Program
The B-SAFE Program (The Bishop’s Summer Academic & Enrichment Program) is a seven-week, full-day academic and enrichment program serving young people from first grade through high school sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. The goal of the program is to build a community where all people feel safe, feel big, and feel connected. Emmanuel Church has participated in the B-SAFE Program in helping to serve over 550 youth in six Boston neighborhoods through a luncheon meal offered over the summer.
The Dinner Program at Epiphany School
Epiphany School was founded in 1997 by a coalition of educators, Episcopal clergy, and community activists in response to a critical need for a high quality, tuition-free middle school targeting economically disadvantaged families in the Boston area. Dinner is cooked by volunteers from various schools, churches, corporations, and community organizations throughout the greater Boston area. Emmanuel Church volunteers to cook dinner about 4-6 times during the school year.
