The Harpist
John La Farge
The Harpist was given in to the church in June,1897 by Samuel Bradford Dana in memory of his mother-in-law, Katharine Cooper Lyon and his wife, Katharine Wallan Lyon Dana.
John La Farge(1835-1910) was a well-known oil and water color painter and stained glass designer, whose long career included the creation and installation of four of the windows in Trinity Church, Boston. La Farge pioneered the use of opalescent glass in windows. Other examples of his work can be found in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

C.J. Connick
Charles Connick (1875-1945), a painter, muralist, and designer opened his stained-glass studio in Boston in 1913. His church windows can be found not only in Boston, but in Chicago, Detroit, New York City, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, DC.
Given in 1915 by Robert and Harold Farrington.

Harry Eldredge Goodhue
Given in 1907 by Mr. and Mrs. Frederic H. Newton in memory of Elliott Haigh Newton.
Harry Eldredge Goodhue (1873-1918) was a stained-glass artist who preferred using antique hand-blown glass to the opalescent glass used by LaFarge.

Sears Gallagher(1869-1955), a well- known Boston lithographer and watercolorist, was a member of Emmanuel Church from 1896 until his death in 1955.
